LUKE 22:53
Despised and rejected of men, betrayed by Judas, forsaken by the disciples, condemned by the Jews and crucified by the Romans. You say what has happened to you is unfair? The crucifixion of Jesus was the most unfair event in human history. He allowed them “their hour.” Go ahead and take the greatest concentration of evil you can find, bring the full force of death and hell and satan against the Lord Jesus, let evil do all it can do. What is the end result? He is raised up triumphant over it all.
Jesus did not avoid death. Sometimes death is unavoidable. Sometimes darkness is unavoidable. Sometimes evil appears to have the advantage. But in death, in darkness, in the worst evil, Life and Light come forth and God is glorified. If not here where we can see it, then in the End, when all things are revealed, when He makes all things new and wipes away every tear from every eye.
I forgot the message last nite.I am still going thru a testing but I told Jesus I want to go all the way with Him I don’t care how long it takes.I asked Him to take this self will I only want His will for my life.I need to rest and let Him do it all and that is the victory.I feel God is preparing me for something.I gave a testimony in our church about giving up your will, that is the only christian life.I have the preacher now talking on the will if God.Maybe this is where God will use me.I appreciate all the responses you have sent to meKeep me in prayer for the evil one is always there to cause me trouble but greater is He that is in me Jane
This is a great reminder that when anything unfair happens to us, when we suffer grief, persecution, ridicule, relatives/friends dying, that in the midst of it all, God is working His purpose in us, in this world, -even though we can’t understand it at the time.
Sometimes temptation comes into our life but because God is in us we can triumph over it. God respects our will so it’s on our own decision to allow or not to allow that temptation to work in us.Let’s be firm in our faith to resist the devil to overcome temptation. I thank the Lord for His Holy Spirit Who helps me overcome such work of satan in my life..Glory to God!
God respects our will ?? Dear Elena, it is just our self-life that wants us to make the wrong decision !!
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? 2You want something but don’t get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. 3When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
In HIS Love,
Bettina
It’s been 2 years since I attended church. It has been a time of persecution from the enemy. A time of darkness. I sense that the Lord Jesus is with me till the end but it’s scary being in this darkness. How do we know that the darkness has not already won? I just live by faith that Jesus knows what he is doing. Even when I went to church there was still this dark cloud that hovered over me. I asked my wife yesterday(She quit going before I did) how she felt her Christian life was going? She said that she wanted live her faith instead of being burdened by religion. Is this the narrow path? If yes, it can be a lonely one. Praise the Lord Jesus that he took that road too. He ovecame all things to sit down at the father’s right hand on high. Praise him!
What happened to Jesus was not FAIR: a sinless man being exchanged for all sinful humanity. Sometimes God”s actions do not seem fair, but we can know that He is JUST, FAITHFUL, TRUE.
Fairness is akin to compromise. I have had many ask,” how can God be so unfair in allowing His Son to die for what He didn’t do. I have never seen God represent Himself as FAIR, but He does declare that He is JUST and FAITHFUL, always TRUE with unfailing LOVE.
Dear Chip
Thank you. Yes, nowadays we often hear about a god who only brings health, wealth and prosperity to his children. Not so … our Pappa God brought Himself and always dwells with us, even through the darkest night!
Blessings
Mia
Hallelujah !! I agree on the things you wrote, brother Chip !
I was reminded of a verse in Hebrews 5:8 :
Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered
If Jesus learned obedience from what He suffered, we all the more have to learn obedience from what we
suffer !!!
Bettina
Thank you Chip i love this profound amazing truth, trying to express my heart right now.
God bless you Chip
Yes, amazingly.
And I jut told someone that had much to prove about the effects of our intake from all the unnatural elements influencing our health today.
And I told them,
I’m glad to be a child of God, or I’d believe my life was limited to the will of men.
The same Holy Spirit is Truth among us. Thanks Chip.
That is a fantastic reminder that we as believers have nothing to whine about, I see often the way people who say they love Jesus treat one another and that is 5 minutes after the service is over, but yet, that is nothing compared to what jesus did for us, thank you Jesus for dying the ultimate death and suffering for me.
Being on the narrow path will surely invite rejection, betrayal and condemnation from the world around us, sometimes to the point of ‘feeling’ abandoned by God. Lately, while I searched and listened to the Lord, I was led to read some passages from the Talmud that were written around the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth. I was speechless after seeing from the perspective of the jewish leaders and pharisees that regarded Jesus as the worst human specimen that ever walked. I had a small glimpse of our Lord’s daily circumstances in the midst of living among these people. I had to marvel at His resolute strength and identity as the beloved Son of the living God, to have continued on in such circumstances even to the death on the cross. I also had a better appreciation of the kind of belief in Him that His disciples acquired in that midst. This is only possible with God.
Since this revelation, the rejections and betrayals I’m experiencing feels quite insignificant. I’m strengthened to walk and do His bidding without the need to know anymore what ‘my’ purpose is in the grand scheme of things because I can ‘see’ a little more clearly that it isn’t about me. I believe another piece of self just got crushed… praise God! May His Kingdom come…
