JULY 9
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the
only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
JOHN 1:14
Moment by moment, hour by hour, we are being changed. This transfiguration is subtle, but powerful. How is it effected? How does God change us? When we put on the Lord Jesus then we become what we have put on. When we see the glory of the Son of God then we are changed thereby. We become what we have seen.
When we see Him as He in fact is, when we behold His glory, we will be smitten to the ground. If what we have seen thus far of the Lord has not struck us dumb and blind then we have not yet touched upon His glory. Our vision is too small. May God illuminate our hearts and grant us further revelation into His Son, that we may be transfigured.
Chip, thanks for this from John 1:14. My only concern is your last sentence–“May God illuminate our hearts and grant us further revelation into His Son, that we may be transfigured.” This is what we want/desire, but it is God’s job–illumination. Maybe a very simple question–but God must take initiative. ¿When does He respond and what can I do to percipate this from Him? Our son also struggles with lack of revelation/illumination and has the same question.
Thanks,
chuck
“Ask, and you will receive. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened.” Our role is to ask, seek, and knock. His role is to give, reveal, and open. If we do our part and trust Him to do His part, He will. But if we ask for the wrong things, with the wrong motive, we will not receive what we ask for.
I love this comment from you Chip, earlier this morning I asked the Lord will he approve or disaprove of somthing I’ve always wanted to do and that decision if yes, would help me and my family a great deal.
I’m now waiting on His answer and I long for a personal relationship with Him like Mary at His feet and to know His voice. Sometimes I’m not sure I hear His voice but He knows I want to as much as possible know he is talking to me and not some negative influence out there somewhere such as Satan and his cohorts as lies abound with those evil spirits! I know selfish prayers are not answered and mine was not a selfish one. The Lord is so good to us all, Amen!
Hi Chuck ! Hi Chip !
Thank you Chip for the sharing and the answer to the question of Chuck. Two other ways of to get revelations are :
1. being near the Lord as long as possible. He do reveal Himself to closer friends in closer place during closer times ;
2. being opened to of Him. When we confess to the Lord our sins, our weaknesses, fails, what we are without Him .. He begin then to reveal His Love, His compassion, His power, His kindness, His victory … 2 Corinthians 3:18 Means that our heart must stay opened for He can get in, illuminate us from inside and change us from there up to outside.
Thank you Chip, I enjoyed reading this, the onliy thiing I would ask is about putting on Christ, once we are saved, haven’t we put on Christ?
God bless you
Amen. When we see Him face to face the work of transformation will be complete and we will be like Him. I can’t wait! I know we are being transformed day by day and symbolically getting us out of Egypt and Egypt out of us is quite a job after-all it took 40 years in the wilderness for The Israelite’s to reach the edge of the promised land. I feel that we as Born Again and Spirit Led Christians are at the edge of the promised Land now watching and waiting for the rapture to take us to be face to face with The Lord for our transformation to be made complete.
Maranatha!
Merci à… Thanks to Chuck, Chip and Neo…
