I recently have tried in vain to teach those “religious folks” that studying RELIGION is not engaging in a RELATIONSHIP with Christ. I watched, as they were startled by how I pointed out how religion, in and of itself, won’t save them. Only Christ will. I can now understand why all those “non-believers” will choose to adhere to ‘their own version of reality’ rather than choose the simplicity that is in a RELATIONSHIP to Christ. Yes, I must choose THIS rather than THAT! And yes, I may even forget my “first love”. But Jesus doesn’t ever forget where I am at, or what I am going through in life. May we all come to KNOW HIM and LIVE FOR HIM, and not know about the religious system and living for it. Reply femi momoh on Mar 23 at 4:42 pm we need to know Jesus and follow him, and not a church system. Jesus empowers but religion enslaves Reply Timothy on Mar 25 at 9:30 am It is also so strange. The very people who don’t want religion are the same ones who will have elaborate feasts on the holidays. It is, as if, religion is something they CAN’T escape; even though they won’t admit it as such! So gluttony becomes a way of trying to be content without a relationship to the one who truly satisfies our basic needs. O, Lord Jesus Christ, may we only learn that in seeking you everything we need in this life will be supplied to us. When we have learnt this truth, then let us thank you and NOT OURSELVES for your provision. Amen. Reply femi momoh on Mar 23 at 4:45 pm any gospel that doesn’t empower one, is a dogma that keeps one in bondage Reply Lynne Clark on Mar 24 at 5:23 am You are such a blessing to the body of Christ, thank you for your teachings, I am enjoying them very much Reply Sandrine on Mar 27 at 12:01 am Thank you Chip, My first reaction when someone was trying to invite me to join one of the “churches” was to put forward my disability because of my health and then apologize somewhere… But a few days ago I surprised myself by saying, “Even though I had strength and health, I no longer have any desire or intention to join any of the churches…” And I now see the first problem I have to deal with, resolve … but I do not know yet how … especially given my condition and my situations … Thank you again… And thank you very much to the person who made the transcription… Reply Der on Mar 30 at 8:49 am Grace be with you C.hip. What I say is Amen Reply Mark Peyron on Mar 30 at 12:20 pm Dear Brother Chip , thank you , this teaching is spot on ! I typically wear t- shirts that proclaim a Christian message. I have one shirt that by far gets way more comments than any other. It simply says in big red letters JESUS then it says is my saviour not my religion . People get it . Keep up the good work !
